Companion animal rehabilitation referral service for veterinary practice and pet owners

No apologies. We put your pets first.

        » Company Info
Active Pet Rehabilitation is a small business set up by Carmel Keylock for the express purpose of helping vets and owners restore pets to functional mobility after accidents or disease.

        So what does that mean?
It means taking your lifestyle into consideration when we build a treatment and exercise plan to get your pet back to normal as fast as possible.

Active Pet Rehabilitation has always been an independent service with no obligation to any food or drug manufacturer. We work hard to help make your pets recovery easier.

        » Background
Born and raised in country Western Australia
        » Education
Qualified as a veterinary nurse at (then) Bentley Technical College in 1984, working within the vet profession ever since. Carmel has been involved in first opinion and referral practice in small animal and equine disciplines.

Now that Carmel has returned home to W.A. she is putting her experience to good use for veterinary practices and their patients in Perth.

first aquatreadmill for pets in Perth.

In 2010 Carmel was certified as a Canine Rehabilitation practitioner by the University of Tennessee in the U.S.A. The only C.C.R.P.
         currently in Australia.

        THE FUTURE

With a young family Carmel knows how difficult it can be to find time for all the members of the family, even the furry ones.

Active Pet Rehabilitation can now offer day patient or half-day patient facilities for revisit treatments. Revisit patients can be dropped off, and collected after treatment to maximise your time. Just ask at the time of making the appointment.

Initial assessments still need at least one family member present to give you the best opportunity to ask questions and practice home exercises.

Ask about our new Fit for Life program, improving weightloss and arthritis management.
To contact Carmel with a question about rehabilitation for pets, or to give feedback about this site please use one of the methods below or go to our contact page

        WE’RE GETTING ACTIVE

Active Pet Rehabilitation can now offer locality assessments for patients. We can come out to visit your local area and parks, and assess your home and garden to advise on the best exercises for your pet, and places to perform them.
